ZEISS offers three calibration level alternatives; Basic, Enhanced, or Complete.

For each of these calibrations, we offer ISO 17025 Accreditation (at additional cost).

The decision of standard or accredited is based  on the customer's quality requirements.

Our default offering is Accredited (when in doubt). This is the safer route.

The normal frequency for calibration is 12 months depending on customer requirements (environment & utilization are typical factors).

All calibrations are “flat rate”  priced including labor, travel expenses, and tool freight.

Any level of calibration service may fail acceptance depending on existing CMM condition.

Probability of passing acceptance drastically increases with the Complete level (due to mechanical adjustments).

In case of acceptance failure, ZEISS may suggest a separate laser map service.

All ZEISS calibrations are traceable to NIST and utilize the following methods:
   •ISO 10360-2 (2009) Length Measurement
     •ISO 10360-5 (2010) Probing
     •ISO 10360-3 (2000) Rotary Table (when applicable)
     •ISO 10360-4 (2000) Scanning (when applicable)
     •VDI/VDE 2617 page 2.2 (2000) Form Measurement (when applicable)

ISO 10360 Basic Calibration Service

The basic calibration service is designed to verify the coordinate measuring machine is operating to the original factory specifications. The accuracy of the machine will be checked, enabling confidence in the output.
•Accuracy verification performed in multiple areas of the measuring volume.
•Software corrections applied to the Computer Aided Accuracy (CAA) file to optimize geometry via ZEISS proprietary         program.
•Includes an ISO 10360 calibration certificate indicating: meets / does not meet original factory specifications.
•Verification and report on scanning performance when applicable.

ISO 10360 Enhanced Calibration Service

Designed for intermediate service intervals for coordinate measuring machines that support production, the enhanced calibration service combines a machine calibration with a thorough inspection and optimization of the reader heads, drives and probe heads. This ensures your machine has an accurate positioning and measuring system, eliminating potential component wear and guaranteeing that everything is working at peak performance. A detailed external cleaning is also included.
•All Basic content listed above included.
•Optimization of machine positioning and measuring system via electronic adjustments on reader heads, drives and          probe heads.
•Active Sensors (VAST, VAST-xt, VAST-xtr) are electronically tuned for optimum scanning data integrity.

ISO 10360 Complete Calibration Service

The complete calibration, the most comprehensive service ZEISS offers, is designed to maximize the productivity and accuracy of your coordinate measurement machine. It includes calibrating the machine and optimizing the electrical systems. In addition, it includes inspection and maintenance of the mechanical and pneumatic systems, extending the life of the components and reducing unscheduled repairs, resulting in increased machine up-time to support your production and metrology requirements.
•All Basic & Enhanced content listed above included.                                                                                                                        •Inspect mechanics for wear (additional replacement parts not included).                                                                                    •Check and adjust pneumatic & mechanical system (including drive and air bearing systems).
