Presuming you have this Outlook setup, if you go to menu item View, and you click on Folder Pane, and it is set to Normal:

And then if you click on Folder Pane again, and click on Options, you should make sure to have Tasks listed as one of your first couple of navigation options.

Then, You can drag an email to the Task icon in the lower left of the Outlook screen (Clipboard with a check mark) to create a Task from an email, and then you can set it to pop up with a reminder in the future.

If you left-click on the email, hold down the left mouse button and drag it, the body of the email will spelled out in the Task.

However, if you right-click on the email, hold down the right mouse button and drag it, when you let go of the right mouse button, you get three choices.  I prefer the middle choice, “Copy Here as Task with Attachment.”

This choice will add the email as an attachment.  If you want to view the email, just double-click on the envelope icon.  You can also add text notes below the attachment.

For example, I find this particularly useful for managing open tickets, but you can use it to remind yourself to check or act on other things.
