One key difference is that FreeForm requires a solid CAD model because the measured data points are compared to the nominal shape like a color map. Positive or negative material is depicted as the red or ble color spectrums.
Curve may utilize a solid CAD model (the user would “slice” the model into a curve) or the user may import a point file X,Y,Z defining the curve shape.
