How to use “sheet views” when editing a shared Excel file with collaborative editing:

For Aftermarket, this is useful if you want to filter data by your territory and sort by specific parameters, but do not want to interfere with your colleagues' view settings and vise versa.

In Excel, go to the “View” tab, and you will find the “Sheet View” settings menu to the left.

Click the eyeball+ icon to create a new “Temporary View.” You can give this view a new name and hit the save icon to save a customized sheet view.

Or select the "bullet list" icon to open up the “Sheet View Options” to create, save, delete, or rename new sheet views:

When working in a specified sheet view, you do not have to worry about your sorting and filtering affecting other users who are viewing the “default” view or their own custom sheet view.

You will know if you are viewing a customized sheet view when you see the eyeball icon appear on the bottom sheet tabs:

This eyeball icon will disappear when using the “default” sheet view.
