• SMAs used to be quoted by Christian Shinners.  Christian would quote a flat $500 upgrade for all educational Calypso seats.  The educational version of Calypso can come with any number of seats specified by the institution.

• No SMA Contract is created for these Institutions. Applications Helpdesk support is guaranteed.

ZEISS Academic Program fringe projection and Blue Light metrology product offerings:

The mission of the ZEISS Academic Program (ZAP) is to promote metrology and inspection technology as essential tools of quality manufacturing by providing support and resources to academic institutions. Our focus is on manufacturing and engineering courses of study helping to develop metrology curriculum content as well as digital e-learning materials for the classroom as opposed to educational research use. 

Beginning in summer of 2024, ZAP product offerings expanded to include a handheld, and a tri-pod based 3-D laser scanner. More specifically, these products are the ZEISS GOM Scan 1 and the ZEISS T-SCAN Hawk 2, and associated ZEISS INSPECT software and accessories. Providing these products are used for instructional purposes of metrology, they can be purchased at a discount through the ZEISS Academic Program.

Currently all other ZEISS laser-based system metrology products are not available through the ZEISS Academic Program.
