Start by signing into Workday and selecting "view all apps" or the menu icon on the top left of the screen:

Then select the "Time" icon:

You will then most likely select "this week" to submit overtime for the current week, or you can select “last week” or a specific week from a calendar, as long as it is in the future. Be aware that weeks have closing dates after which it is not possible to submit time cards or OT requests.

You cannot simply submit the overtime hours on their own. You must submit all working hours for the week to total over 40 hours. Anything in excess of 40 hours will then show up as "Weekly OT"

In my example below, for week Oct 30 - Nov 5, I have counted:
MON - 8 hours regular
TUE - 8 hours regular
WED - 8 hours PTO/Vacation
THUR - 8 hours PTO/Vacation
FRI - 8 hours PTO/Vacation
SAT - 5 hours OT

= 45 total paid hours for the week

You will need to add your time for each day individually. Click a day and the following menu will appear:

Time Type: In the drop down, select "Time Entry Codes" and always select "CZI - Regular" (If you were approved for vacation your vacation hours should already be included on this time sheet, so you should not need to select "Absence" time codes from this menu, but it is an option.)

Hours: Enter the number of hours worked that day
Then hit okay.

Do this for each day of the week, including your weekend or overtime until the numbers in your "Summary" section look correct for the week. Select the orange "Review" Button to double check the details! (Note: Vacation time is not clearly labeled for some reason, but in my example below it is 24 hours.)

Finally, select "Submit" and Craig will approve it and you should be good to go!

Hooray for overtime pay!
