Floating licenses are only available for PiWeb Enterprise
• Floating licenses are not available for PiWeb SBS
• If the customer would like to purchase a Floating License and they have PiWeb SBS, they would have to upgrade to PiWeb Enterprise.
• The PN and pricing for PiWeb Enterprise Server is on the Price List.
Additional Information from Craig's Helpjuice article titled “PiWeb Enterprise - Details”:
A Floating licensing is flexible, allowing multiple users access to the PiWeb Clients.
The Floating license types offered are: Plant Floating or Global Floating (see below)
- This is as opposed to PC Bonded which is tied to a person's laptop.
- Floating licensing itself does not provide the worldwide access to databases, PiWeb Enterprise does that.
- Floating is only a licensing model for the Clients.
Plant Floating (Local) Client licenses are in the price list.
Global Floating Client licenses are available but extremely expensive (about 4X more than local), so we don’t typically promote them.
