Accretech machines are not part of our ISO17025 Scope of Accreditation

Some customers ask for an A2LA Accredited Calibration on their SF&G machines, which we cannot offer. Nearest we can offer is the standard complete calibration plus the adder for the As-Found.

Current as of September 2024: Tech Support has shared the following document to send to customers requesting a scope of work or scope of accreditation for our SF&G calibrations.

Previously, Glenn Knight (former calibration lab quality manager) explained the following, which may help you discuss with your customer:

While Zeiss is ISO 17025 certified by A2LA for our calibration lab and field service calibration for our coordinate measuring machines, Accretech machines are not part of the Zeiss scope of accreditation for ISO17025.

I can say that Zeiss is the exclusive agent for Accretech in the US, and we have been trained by the mfr on their protocols for calibrating their machines.  Zeiss service technicians are trained to follow a specific calibration procedure using those Accretech factory protocols.  Zeiss is also performing the As-Found service to provide the condition of the machine before any adjustments are made and the As-Left results are recorded.  Functionally, we are doing everything that we would normally do if we were certified, but without the ability to say that we are ISO 17025 certified.

This might change sometime in the future, Zeiss may decide someday to add Accretech machines to our Scope of Accreditation, or Zeiss may decide never to do so.
