GOM Software is now renamed ZEISS Inspect:

There are two primary ZEISS Inspect software products:
ZEISS Inspect Optical 3D
- Sales are handled by 3D Optical or HOM Hands On Metrology
- Excellent part surface inspection / evaluation
- GOM Scanbox, T-Scan Hawk, etc…
- All Aftermarket handled by the California team
ZEISS Inspect X-Ray
- Sales of new seats are handled by the X-Ray PSMs (product Sales Managers.
- SMA renewals are handled by ZEISS Michigan Aftermarket team
- Adds the ability to see “inside the material”, porosity for example
- Commonly sold as an offline analysis software together with a M800 or M1500
- Metrotom 1 & 6 physically run on Zeiss Inspect X-Ray together with one of two “Sensor Driver modules”
- ZEISS Inspect X-Ray ProLine is the version that physically runs a M6 or M1. That is what “ProLine” indicates, it is not offline but running the actual M1 or M6. One of the “Sensor Driver” P/Ns is also required for a M1 or M6 to operate.

- SMA for the on-line version (Metrotom 1 or 6) and also offline seats

CRM iBase Topics
- We have some visibility to ZEISS Inspect X-Ray software in the ZEISS CRM but limited. We cannot see the official SMA dates which reside in MS Dynamics.
- Customer Care will create a “ZEISS SMA Contract” for visibility but the official SMA Contract is managed by GOM in the GOM CRM.
- Aftermarket does receive automated emails reminding of a ZEISS Inspect X-Ray SMA Contract expiring soon (our team mailbox).
- New seats sold with new METROTOMs receive a 14 month SMA from GOM to account for the lag in order processing to installation.
- ZEISS Inspect SMAs are subject to “upgrade fees” / back charging. There is no lapse allowed. We (Craig, Wesley, Daniel) have access to the GOM CRM called Dynamics so we can see the SMA dates.
- If lapsed, price the SMA to begin on expiration date and then add in as much SMA months as needed. AMS should advise the suggested SMA dates through to CC with the order.

You may also recommend the customer download the free ZEISS Quality Suite software to access training, the Tech Guide, community help forums, as well as download demo software, and manage software licenses for ZEISS Inspect applications. (They can sign in using their ZEISS ID, similar to the Zeiss Portal.)
