METROTOM 800 130kV - Calibration with out Periodic Maintenance Service Visits (typically M800/130kV)
PERIODIC MAINTENANCE VISITS
NEW Per Scott Chapman Dec 2025:
Additional Periodic X-Ray System Inspection Maintenance Service Visits are recommended to be performed within one year of the METROTOM calibration date.
- One additional periodic maintenance visit is recommended for machines used only 1 shift per day.
- Two additional periodic maintenance visits are recommended for machines used 2 or 3 shifts per day.
(When in doubt, quote / recommend 2 additional periodic maintenance visits in addition to the calibration to prevent any unplanned downtime. Malfunction of the high voltage cable due to wear and lack of maintenance can severely damage the Metrotom.)
Periodic Maintenance Visits Include:
- Inspecting and maintaining the high voltage cable
- Inspection of the filament usage and wear (replacement filament an extra charge as it is a consumable)
- Xray tube cleaning if necessary
- Positioning system greasing if necessary
