Newer M800 and M1500 are beginning to physically operate on ZEISS Inspect. Previous machines ran on M-OS. The final version of M-OS is 3.14 and Aftermarket can still sell upgrades to these customers. There is no retrofit path from M-OS to ZEISS Inspect.
It is only possible to sell the “upgrade” part numbers, not SMA. These must be installed by a Service Technician and we quote a flat $7700 for this. If the REKO workstation is getting dated, we normally offer a new one. We quote a standard REKO for M800 and Ultra REKO for M1500 (larger data sets).
There are three options (VHD, Separate, AMMAR). If the customer has any, we must also sell the upgrade P/N for that module. If they want to add one, you can quote the LIC P/N.
The default is W11 for new REKO. Some very old Metrotom (ie: M1500 G1) have a sensor incompatible with W11. There is a compatibility file on the Z Drive under Software/M-OS. If it is incompatible, ZEISS will provide a new REKO with a version of W10 which is supported to 2032. It is critical to make this request clear to Jody in CC so she can relay to ZEISS Germany.
These orders are processed by CC (Jody) and there is a process that she can trigger Deployment to schedule an SVO. Not a bad idea to check in on the order though with CC and Deployment to make sure all is clear.
Please contact Craig if you need any assistance with these at all. Glad to help!
