Lost Dongle Replacement Process for Quoting & Ordering

Do a quote for the the S/W license part numbers only, in the latest version of the software.  Add the dongle part number.  Put them all in a single group, name it something like SW License & Dongle Replacement Fee, apply an absolute discount so that the sell price is $2200.00.  While the SW License part number should have higher level item numbers pointing to the Software BOM part number (item 10), Customer Care would prefer the Dongle part number does not have a higher level item number pointing to the Software BOM part number.

There is a Sales Quotation Template named AMS: PC: DONGLE: REPLACE LOST DGL & SFWR, that will apply a .pdf that explains everything.

An active Software Maintenance Agreement is required. If the SMA is lapsed, a new SMA must be purchased as well.  Add the SMA part numbers and assign them to a different group name.

Customer must provide a statement that they have lost the Dongle, and if found in the future, the formerly lost Dongle will be returned to ZEISS.  You can put that statement in an email, and ask customer to send you a reply agreeing to that statement.  You should save the email reply in  your quote folder, and attach that email reply to the quote.

After Customer places their order with you, submit to Customer Care on a Task (Task Description = LOST DONGLE).  If you don't specifically put in the quote internal notes to ship overnight via customer's preferred carrier & account number, or specify Best Way Overnight prepay & add freight to invoice, Customer Care will ship it Ground and it will take longer to be delivered to the customer. 

New software media and software licenses will be provided in the current software version by default for all ZEISS branded software that we have on record for the machine.

An older version of software media and licenses may be requested in advance, and the older version will be provided if it is supported by the current Flexera licensing server. For CALYPSO software licenses, the oldest version supported is CALYPSO 2013 version 5.6. Please note that the software phone support that is part of the Software Maintenance Agreement is only for the current software version, and two versions back.

ZEISS will ship a new USB Dongle Security Key, and a separate USB flash drive containing the software media and license files.
