There is very little difference between Calypso Basic and Calypso on an O-Inspect. The O-Inspect class includes 4 hours on Friday to introduce optical measurement. It does not send students away truly trained to use optical measurement. 

Per Ryan Stauffer it is “significantly better to just focus on CALYPSO Tactile (XXT) first, get comfortable with that, then learn how to PROPERLY use the optics in an Optics-Only class.”
