A great way to save time, especially when quoting annual Zeiss Care renewal services, is to create a duplicate quote from a previous quote and update any necessary data. The basics are as follows:
1. Pull up the already existing quote that you wish to use as your template

2. Select the “copy” icon at the top of the screen.

3. In the copy transaction pop-up, these are the feilds you will need to pay most attention to:
New Sold-to Party: Make sure you have the correct customer account sold-to ID in this field for the new quote.
Redetermine Pricing Data: Select to update the pricing to the current date's pricing. Do not select if you wish to retain the same pricing from the previous quote.
Transfer Pricing Date: Only select if you wish to retain the pricing from the previous quote. Do not select if you are updating pricing to the current date's price list.
Redetermine Organizational Data: Always select.
4. Continue entering organizational fields when prompted or other pop-ups as usual.
5. You may receive warnings that “Requested Delivery Date” is in the past, even after entering a new Requested Deliver Date in the proper field. This is not normally a problem, but if someone knows how to address these warnings so they do not show up, please update this Helpjuice article!
6. Your new quote will be pre-filled with the copied information from the prior quote. Continue filling out your new quote and updating any pertinent information.

Be careful when changing item numbers!
If you need to exchange one line item for something else (ex: change from Complete to a Basic calibration), please do not simply overwrite the material number. Instead, kindly delete the line item and then insert the new one. This will prevent downstream issues for Customer Care and Invoicing that are not visible to the Aftermarket team.
7. You will need to re-apply any templates or add PDF attachments manually as these do not copy over from the previous quote.
9. Once you save the quote, it will be assigned a new transaction ID /quote number.
