Adding Credit Card Info to Quote or PO

Update April 2025: There is a new credit card process downstream but there are some risks to ZEISS.  So, for now AMS will keep the same process as we have had (below).

 

 

Do not collect credit card information from a customer via email or chat, etc.

If you need to process an order for a customer that wants to pay by credit card, have the customer call Allison Crosby at 914-618-7724. Or email allison.crosby@zeiss.com with the quote number and let her know you have a customer who wants to pay by credit card.

Alternatively, if you have the time, you may have the customer call you you by phone with the credit card information handy to enter the information to the quote yourself via the following process:

1. Pull up the quote that you wish to add the credit card information to and select “edit” at the top of the screen.


2. Scroll to the section labeled “//CUBTPAYCARDS.OVERVIEW” and select “new.” (If you do not see this section, you may need to add it with your “little pencil” at the top of the quote menu on the right of the screen.)

3. Enter the required information. Security code is not needed.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you try to hit “back” from this menu without entering data, you will receive errors that cannot be bypassed. You will need to close the entire window and reopen your quote to start over if you do not have all the information available to enter at this time. Error example:

4. As soon as you enter a valid credit card number, it will show in the field as an encrypted code number. This is good, but you will not be able to read the card number back to the customer. If you decide to, be sure to repeat the card number back to the customer before hitting “enter” in this field.



5. Make sure the card holder name matches what is on the card exactly, including initials.

6. Hit “enter” and select “back” at the top of the menu. Now you should see the credit card entered in the CUBTPAYCARDS.OVERVIEW section. You can delete or revise the credit card entry by selecting the trash can or edit icons on the right.


7. Save the quote. From here you can proceed with processing the order as normal.

Remember: when processing a credit card order, set the “PO Number” in the “Quotation Details” section to “Credit Card Order”
