Order confirmations used to be sent out manually.  Now Customer Care enters the contacts in the SMA Contract or Sales order in SAP, and then SAP Mail Center automatically sends out the order confirmations.

There are 4 positions to add contacts in the SMA Contract or Sales Order.  If more contacts need the order confirmations (distributor, Ebonique), Customer Care must manually enter those additional contacts in Mail Center.  To limit how often Customer Care must manually enter into Mail Center, please limit yourself to listing 3 contacts for Order Confirmations whenever possible.

Customer Care knows when they need to include Software License on an order confirmation.  You don't need to specify Software Licensing in the Order confirmations distribution list.  This is why we want to limit ourselves to 3 contacts whenever possible, leaving that 4th position open for when Customer Care needs to include Software License.

You must list yourself if you want to receive the order confirmation.  If you don't list yourself,  you won't get an order confirmation.  We have had different people tell us different things in the past, but this is how it is now going forward.  Personally, with some exceptions, I would prefer not to receive order confirmations, just so that's less email I will have to read and decide what to do with it (move to a folder, delete).

If you have special instructions for Software License, list that out last, Attn:  Software License.

If you have special instructions for Customer Care, list that out too.
